Suspended Licence for failure to appear??
I live in NC. I was in a wreck a few months ago (not my fault), but got a ticket for bad tires. I mailed in the ticket with a money order for the fines/costs. I just got a letter from the DMV saying my licence would be suspended for failure to appear. I think I must have used incorrect postage (stamps went up at that time). I just moved and I can't find my money order receipt, either. I have never been in trouble in my life. How can I get this straightened out? I have til the end of August before the suspension starts, but I am more worried about the failure to appear.

Call the clerk of the court that was involved; they will usually help you to arrange to come in and pay fines etc.
