My husband hired a lawyer for a speeding ticket. The lawyer continued the case 6 times before he forgot to appear at all. A little over a year later my husband was arrested for a failure to appear warrant. This cost our family nearly 1000.00 in lost wages, bondsman, and of course what we already paid him. My husband was taking my boss hunting with him so there is embarrassment added on top of all the rest. What rights do we have to recover what it cost us for his negligence?

The lawyer should take any and all actions to correct this, and he should bear the costs. Or you could even sue him...

Re: Lawyer failed to appear after being paid
how do you find a lawyer willing to sue another lawyer? He has already promised only 400.00 and still has not paid.
