speeding ticket case, can i get it dismissed?

i had gotten a speeding ticket a couple months ago but i got my court date set for friday. i had found out from the district attorney that my court date has gotten changed to 2 months later because the witness (police officer) isnt able to show up on friday. if i go in on friday can i get my ticket dismissed because the cop wasnt able to show up on that appointed date??

Since the court date has been changed, there will be no need for you to show up on Friday. In most situations as the court date approaches, the persons charged keep putting off the court dates. It’s because as long as the dates keep on changing the cops thinks that the case is so far in the past that they'll never remember anything and will not turn up. The best thing is that the longer you wait the better chance the cop won’t show up and the case will be dismissed.
