Florida.... I recieved a $450 speeding ticket for traveling at 38 mph in a 15 mph (at times) school zone, which at regular time is a 35 mph zone. there was an overhead sign with flashing lights, at the beginning of the zone, where, immediatley after, i was ticketed.
however, many of road signs in the area, including those which warned of reduced speed (the speed drops from 65 mph to 15 mph in less than one mile) and school zone ahead, were hidden by bushes and constructions signs. i hit my breaks as soon as i saw the flashing 15mph sign, but that was as i entered the school zone, directly where i was radared. a truck in the lane beside me was swerving towards my lane at the same time, which distracted me...would that testimony help in court? do i have a chance of fighting this? where do i get records from (cop's video camera, citation record, calibration record)? any help would be greatly appreciated!! God Bless! |
