Default California- Officer has not submit citation?

Traffic citation occured in long beach, California. I was stopped for VC22450(a) stop sign violation. Officer said I didn't come to a complete stop. I think I did but that's for the judge to decide. Anyway this occurred almost two months ago and my date for appearing is set for 11/03.

So far nothing on LA superior’s online tracking system, nor via phone line. If the officer does not submit the citation in proper time what are my options on maybe throwing this out or making sure I am covered? Right a fair and speedy trial?

Anyone ever dealt with this? What can I do?

If he does not submit it, call the clerk of the court and/or prosecutor and ask what is happening.

But I don't think you will get it dismissed solely for that. The judge could postpone/delay the hearing.

At least in my state they would not dismiss for that.

Well from my standpoint I feel that if it's not submitted to records then obviously it's not official?

There also needs to be some limitation? I mean the officer can't file it in 5 years and expect it to be valid.

I think I have read online that they have a year to file? I also read that you have to just keep checking each week to see if they filed.

But I’m looking for someone who may have experience with this. Also how did they show proof they kept checking, I don’t want the officer to file it in 3 months then say I never showed on my due date.
