I was recently pulled over in Illinois for speeding. I was going 62 in a newly posted 45 mph zone (previously 55). The citation states I was going 62 mph in a 55 mph zone and the offense is 15-20 over posted speed limit. Is this an error that is worth going to court over to have the citation dismissed? Or will they just amend the ticket, in which case I will be guilty of going 5-10 over? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They will just amend the ticket, in which case you will be guilty of going 15-20 over (62 mph - 45 mph = 17 mph). Sorry bud.
