Default Ticket Technicality - No speed or zone listed

Hi, after reviewing my summons, the officer neglected to write down the speed I was going and the speed limit. He did however mark a box that indicated the "range" of speed.

On calling the courts, I asked the admin about this and she said, "Yes you are correct, but he did write some notes on the back of the ticket and it says he had a lock on you at "87MPH"....

My question is: shouldnt the DA just throw this out?

Thanks in advance.

Unhappy Re: Ticket Technicality - No speed or zone listed

Well thanks everyone for jumping on this one! (short notice I guess)
So, I got the ticket reduced from 6pts to 4 and from 87mph to 70mph but they balked at the missing crucial information and refused to throw it out. I actually felt bullied by the DA into accepting his offer but after mulling it over and figuring on another 6 hour round trip that I'd settle.
I should have hired an attny...

Bored of sitting in a traffic school classroom for hours at a time? Online traffic school is here. After attending a traffic school or taking an online traffic safety school, you are granted a certificate that is to be shown to the court and then your charges are not on your record. Isnt that great!

The courts will just correct those errors and let the matter continue normally. See many posters discussing this issue here in the Forum.
