Advise!!!!!!

I was just leaving a hospital and pulled into a main street and proceeded to drive straight until I hit the next intersection to take a right on. This next intersection allows you to make a right on red after a complete stop.

Just before I was approaching the intersection, I was already in my right lane and realized that an ambulance was behind me and all the other vehicles driving in the samw direction.

At this point, I also clearly became aware of the traffic lights @ the intersection and that there were no colors showing to direct the traffic.(lights were not working).r,

I came to a complete stop in the right lane and put my right directional on and proceeded to take the right turn and pulled over to make sure the ambulance were not behind me..

Once I reazized the ambulance were going straight , I pulled out and started driving straight again... minutes lare 2 other cars and mine were pulled over and given a ticket for running a red light a never game me the opportunity to explain what happened..rude

The ambulance has a departure log putting you and the ambulance at the intersection. Secong court records will reflect the others at the intersection as well. Looks like this cop just got a suspension.

Should I contact the public works department for their logs?????
