Default Change of Venue? -- I was cited for speeding in California

I was cited for speeding heading north on CA 101 (22356 b vc). I was going about 85 in a 70 zone. The cop was a nice guy and it was my first ticket so he cited me for 80 (it says 80 as speed approx box but above the max speed box 85/70 is written small, not sure what that is about). Anyways, the court is 176 miles from my home town.

Currently I'm living in Santa Barbara (171 miles from king city) but I will be graduated from college and have moved back to Novato by the court date. So my question is: even if I don't currently have a job will I have bounds to file a change of venue on the basis that I will be living 176 miles away from the court and active in the work force as a new college graduate (which will be the case if I find a job by then)?

Secondly, how would I begin the process of filing the change of venue?

Thanks Everyone!

Normally no--I had the same issue.

The court will proceed and either you have to appear, arrange a phone conference, pay it, or have counsel appear.

In California their is a firm named as twifordlaw.com, you can take help from this firm and get legal advice from lawyers Elizabeth City NC or attorney Moyock NC for your issue.
