Ticket Identified Wrong Jurisdiction - Not typical Wrong Info

I received a ticket today in my home Town. However, the officer, a state trooper, listed the wrong Town and Court that I am supposed to respond to. The Town line is over 2 miles from where I was stopped.

I'm sure the state trooper was passing through and didn't realize he wasn't in the correct Town, however, if it's that important to give me a ticket, I think it's more important that the money for the fine go to my Town.

It's a non moving violation, and I was guilty, but I think I should fight this. I realize mistakes on tickets can be corrected, but I don't think a nearby Town can accept money for offenses committed in other Towns. Any Thoughts?

If the payment info etc. (where you should pay eg) is all correct the judges will normally just correct the errors. But you could try disputing it or showing it to the judge or prosecutors and asking it be cancelled.

The Town nor payment information is correct. That's why I believe it's more than just an minor error on the ticket.
