North Carolina resident got speeding ticket in South Carolina
In North Carolina, a speeding ticket leads to three years of increased insurance. I am a North Carolina resident, but got a speeding ticket in South Carolina. The North Carolina courts offer a prayer for judgement, something South Carolina courts don't have. This results in paying the ticket, but not having the insurance increase. How can I avoid the three year insurance increase?

Not sure you can...the rule for a ticket is set by the state you are in.
but check with your insurer...they certainly have faced that issue before. |
