Angry Speeding Fines Paid In Full but Recieved Letter for a fine to be paid

Country: United States of America
State: Georgia

My husband recieved 1 ticket for doing 85 in 55 one day then a couple of
days later recieved 2 tickets one for 97 in 55 and the other was for
reckless driving..when we went to court for all 3 tickets, he was told he
could not take his cell phone into the court room and had to return it to
his car and just his luck he was the first person called. we sat there until
all of the cases were called and after we noticed that his name was not
called we were told that he was about the 1st or 2nd that was called, well
the judge called the ballif and told him to take him away to jail, I was
asking what I needed to do and the judge said that he would set him up for
bond on the reckless driving for 1300 and before we left we asked him would
this take care of all the tickets he said YES, we went down stairs I just so
happen to have cash on me just in case and he said as long as I paid cash
that he did not have to sit in jail, well the lady at the clerk of courts
who wrote the reciept, i asked her to put on there that this would take
care of all the tickets, she told the ballif to go back up stairs and verify
this with the judge and he did verify that this was accurate, she did write
on the reciept that this took care of all tickets on the date he had court
for all 3 tickets, well about 3 days later we recieved a letter in the mail
stating that he had an outstanding ticket and he had so many days to go up
there and pay it and if he did not that his liscense would be suspended. on
the day of court he had all 3 of those tickets and the same time and date to
take care of them that was the purpose of him even going. I wanted to know
since the judge said that, that bond that we paid would take care of all of
the tickets, Does it take care of ALL 3 tickets or is he obligated to go up
there and pay the 450 fee for one of those 3 tickets that he got.

You can ask the judge to clarify but if he still says pay, then I would suggest you do that and avoid any further hassle.
