HELP!! Please! Anyone!
Hello, my name is Katee and I am 16. I lived with my parents until July of last year. So I know the COULD claim me but the thing is I do NOT qualify for the "support" section on the IRS child claiming laws. I fully supported myself with gas, groceries, I am even paying my parents late fee's and payments for my at home high school. I work full-time as a Jr. graphic designer and have been paying in taxes all year but NOW even without them claiming me I still have to pay in and when I check to see with them claiming me I have to pay in a lot of $$! It's not legal for them to claim me since they did not pay for more than half of my well being while living there. But they already filed their taxes... So here's my question.. Now that i am married can I file and claim myself even with them claiming me?! I do not understand the IRS website they make it very hard, and also why would I have to still pay in without them claiming me?! I payed taxes just like EVERYONE else!

Not really. The IRS could then investigate and invalidate one.
But you were there in their home right? What about rent etc? |

...also we normally do not give tax advice on this site; you may want to check with the IRS directly; or your accountant; or the H & R Block web site for 20 dollars: HR Block Tax Advisor link --
