Confused Property Tax

I live in a mobile home park in the state of Tennessee. County assessors tax me on my home and heat pump unit, two wooden decks and storage shed. They claim the heat pump, decks and shed are considered as appurtenances to the movable structure, the home. I do not pay tax on the land, the park owner does. Everything I own is considered as improvements to the property.

Default Re: Property Tax

One of you will pay on that--either the owner of the land or you.

You may want to discuss that with the owner as well.
