Not sure if you can help me
MN
I got a message a few weeks ago from the IRS saying that when I filed my 2004 taxes I forgot to include income from one of my employers. (Which is true, I filed on the computer with the do it yourself software so I must have missed it.) I worked this job for 1 month and I'm not sure exactly how much I made. Anyway, the letter tells me I now owe 759.46 in taxes. I can't think that can even be possible from the one job one month, but they said that it moved me to a different tax bracket. Is there any way to just file it again and actually see how much I do owe instead of just trusting the IRS? Would I need a tax lawyer? Also, I do not make much money so I can't really pay that off quickly. Won't they just take my refund for 2007? I usually get about that much back, couldn't they just call it a wash? What if I owe more than my refund? (If I do get a refund check I will just give them that money) Can they issue a warrant for my arrest? Kev |

You can amend the entire return but they will be watching closely now.
