IRS letter to "extend the time to assess tax"
I got a letter from IRS to audit our 2005 income tax.
Now I recieved a letter to \"extend the time to assess tax\" Does this mean that the \"statute of limitations\" has expired. If we don\'t sign it what are the ramifications. |

You do not need to sign. They will extend it themselves if need be.
