I am an artist. I plan on selling some of my art to an art fund for some of its stock. I understand I would need to pay income tax on this.
When I eventually sell my stocks (after they've sold my art that has appreciated), do I need to pay income tax or capital gains tax? Would the tax treatment (income/capital) be the same if the stocks were held by a corporation? |
