Default state tax v/s federal exemption

I am an overseas tax exempt employee, i think that means that i d o not have to pay state taxes either does anyone know?

But note: Normally you don't pay state tax if assigned abroad and resident abroad.

Who are exempt for states taxes when you're a overseas federal employee?
