Hello, Last June/07 we had a house fire and our house had to be re-built. Luckily we were insured, and no one was hurt. Our insurance co. advised us to claim for the GST rebate for house re-build and we did. We recently received a declined notice due to the fact that we did not pay for the rebuild ourselves. Although we didn't directly pay for the re build, the poilcy is ours. Our insurance co. has not heard of this happening before? Any thoughts?

You should consider hiring an insurance lawyer asap and have the lawyer deal with the insurer if the insurer is unwilling to pay immediately.
