I am married and filed a joint tax return. My wife is unavailable to sign the return and asked that I sign it for her. The return is 100% accurate and people I've asked say "No harm, No foul. Any advise???

It is not preferred but one party can direct another to help sign---but make sure you have proof that she wants this and get it in writing or email etc. --if you two ever have to prove she agreed.
