Confused Compensation for founding board members? NH

We are forming a non-profit in NH and will use our expertise to run the organization. My expertise is in business management, and my partner has extensive experience in the specific industry. This was our brainchild. My questions: Can board members be compensated? If not, can some of the board members also be employees of the non-profit? How does this work? Thank you!

I wish to inform you that you can have compensation from NGO. The compensation must be declared and with consent of board members. The compensation is for the services which you have rendered for NGO in furtherance of the objects of NGO and thus you can receive such compensation. NGO can pay to its employees for services rendered by them and your work for NGO can be classified and work done in furtherance of NGO objectives and hence you can be paid compensation.
