Question Virgnia growth opportunity (filing for tax exempt status in a different state)

Hello, I have a nonprofit organization in the state of Virginia. I would like to also organize and incorporate in New Jersey. What do I need to do in terms of filing for tax exempt status in a different state (where I do not reside). Also can I combine the organization w/the same name etc. as in Virginia?

I wish to inform you that you can incorporate a non profit organization. In this regard you can register your non profit organization. In this you will be required to prepare articles of association and it will be submitted to Department of Revenue. You will also be required to prepare bylaws which will be kept at the non profit's principal place of business. You will have to apply for federal tax exemption. In this regard you may file Form 1023 with the IRS. The name of your organization should not be same as, or deceptively similar to, other corporate names on file with the Secretary of State.
