not-for-profit organization
If I want to start a not-for-profit organization do I need a 501 c 3 status or can I 'umbrella' under an exsting not-for-profit organization without obtaining a 501 c 3 status for my organization?

You normally need your own unless you are going to be basically a part of and subject to control of the other organization.

What is the best way to find an attorney for a non-profit organization? Actively searching, word out of mouth or is there an organization that can be contacted?
