Confused New business/employees vs. contractors

My question is one that borders on employment law. I am seeking some information re: What laws apply in a startup business that all are currently contract employees. (a group of under 15)

Can someone give me some direction please ? Most appreciated......

You can see articles regarding the difference between employees and "independent contractors" if that is what you mean.

The IRS has good articles about the topic as well.
