Smile National Grant Writing Authority - get a grant

Our situation is pretty common I would guess. The goal is to get funding - preferably in a grant that we don't have to payback so we can expand our business (with employees, equipment, marketing, etc.). The economy is tough and especially in las vegas - where it's expensive just to survive.
The whole process seem s pretty confusing and time consuming.
A few questions we had were:
How much can you get?
How much should you try to get?
How do you know what grant research and writing company to use?
Any help would be appreciated
Patrick

It's not that easy these days but check for local reputable people that assist in RFPs and grant submissions etc.

There is a whole industry built to support those kinds of requests.

Thumbs Up Re: National Grant Writing Authority - get a grant

Years ago my family had applied for a small grant, but the problem was that the wrong information was
given to the grant writing company. Because of this we didn't get the grant

Beware people saying they can get you a grant. It just is not true.

And never pay upfront for any such service.

Smile National Grant Writing Authority - las vegas

thought i'd add some stuff i found online about grant writing process and non profit
maybe these details will better explain the process involved

There are several categories of non-profits, including those exempt under 501(c)(3) (charitable, scientific, educational groups). The federal government and private grant foundations issue billions of dollars in grant money to a variety of Nonprofit organizations each year. Section 501(c)(3) is just one of the tax law provisions granting exemption from the federal income tax to nonprofit organizations. This exemption does not cover other federal taxes such as employment taxes. 501(1)(3)exemptions apply to corporations, and any community chest fund, or foundation who are organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, educational purposes, to foster national and/or international amateur sports competition, and for the prevention of cruelty to children and/or animals. Many corporations and foundations are required to grant a certain amount of their assets annually for a variety of reasons. Foundations are required to give away at least 5% of their total assets each year to maintain their tax-exempt status. The IRS does not run background check on 501(c)(3) organizations. They just make sure the organizations are operating within the IRS guidelines on tax exemptions. The Federal and many states governments are required by law to issue grants for many diverse needs. The influx of grant money into the economy creates jobs, which in turn creates more tax revenue and reduces individual (and corporate) dependency on government subsistence programs.

What Is a LLC?
An LLC (Limited Liability Company) is a business structure that provides some liability protection in addition to certain tax benefits of partnerships or S corporations. If you are a sole proprietor, then you can also convert your small business to a single-owner LLC. The best advice may be to form a corporation in the state where you plan to conduct business. It will be far less complicated and more cost-effective in the long run. Nevada is becoming increasingly friendly to corporations with its privacy and liability protection status. Numerous companies are relocating their business entities to Nevada in order to receive the numerous tax benefits. Listed below are some of the reasons why Nevada is attracting more businesses each day:
No state corporate tax on profits
No state annual franchise tax
No personal income tax
Stockholders are not public record which permits complete anonymity
Just one person can hold all the offices of the corporation: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Stockholders, directors and officers need not be residents of Nevada

Smile National Grant Writing Authority - tips

so much good advice in this forum. the posters are right, it's a complicated and drawn out process.
best bet is always check a companies website. Most companies that are a scam don't even have a website, so NTL has that area covered.
