Default Can 2 corporations own shares of each other?

Can two corporations own shares of each other?

For example, can Corporation A own 100% of the shares of Corporation B, and can Corporation B own 80% of the shares of Corporation A? Does this pose any problem?

They can yes, but they may be liable for each other.
