I am considering a business venture with a partner which would entail a California S Corp. I have a pending civil case (non criminal in nature)that I may lose, which could result in a substantial judgement. What are the ramifications of this in relation to the corporation? Would it be relatively easy for the plaintiff to get at my assets if (hypothetically) I lose the case,or would the Corp provide a layer of protection? Thank You in advance!
