Alberto:Why so quiet you ask? I've been pondering these "moving targets",better known as "time windows",in an attempt to make some sense of them,no easy task. Here's my "coffeetime moment":
I find it interesting to note that the US Dollar has declined from a high of approximately 87 cents in June '06 (the last known SI operations),to a historical low of approximately 71 cents in the Futures Market in
March '08,for a difference of 16 cents.Since July 15th '08,the U.S.Dollar
has rallied from approximately 71.5 to a high of approximately 77.5 for this week (an absolutely phenomenal rally of 6 cents).
Since the payout has been in US Dollars,that 16 cent decline since June '06 would have meant difference of $160 Million for each $Billion disbursed when the Dollar was at it's lowest point. That is most certainly not "chump change",even by Private Placement Industry standards.Now multiply said $160 Million by however many Billions which presumeably have thus far been disbursed,and I would think it's not a stretch of the imagination as to how this could have affected the "time frames",and that measures had
to be and are still being taken to compensate for that event.
Assuming for a moment that this has been an issue affecting this payout,the news would be encouraging,in that,as mentioned above,the Dollar has rallied by 6 cents,a laudable bonus.The fact remains though that it still has another 10 cents to go before being at par with the levels of June '06. The crucial question of course would be:Has the above in fact been a factor? In my
view,it's not inconceivable,and it would at least partly explain these "moving time windows" all this time. And I would think they had methods which could be applied to compensate,but these measures (for instance hedging) take time to work through the markets.
Add to the mix of currency volatility the recent carnage in the banking industry,and it shouldn't be difficult to surmise that it's been a jungle out there,and that caution has been and must be the order of
the day.
However,I'm confident that those in charge are consummate professionals,and have the necessary skill set to compensate for and/or prevent any arising difficulties. Bottom line is:I'd rather have it late than
not at all.
NOTE:The above is my own independant analysis,and NOT information gleaned from anyone. Some,all or none of it could have anything to do with the payout. I merely see it as a distinct possibility.
At any rate,it's been fun "thinking out of the box" once more. In the meantime,as long as I hear theword "progress"(whichever pace that may be),I'm quite happy to just "let it happen". The situation is
looking good unless we hear otherwise.

Well as promised I received the copy of the email notice from the person who referred the receiver.
This notice was received July 29 2008, and sat in the persons spam box for a week before he opened it.
He thought is was a joke at first and asked his lawyer to check it out and was given the clarence that itwas good and he should act upon it.
Notice looks just like it would have come from SI as far as address is concerned. Notice was addressed to his email address and attn his user name that he had with si. He was given contact information and option of payout and he chose a cheque.
He was a small investor and never went to a lawyer and he was in special plan. and he was very very happy with his returns.
Did not have to sign any nda and told his payout was a settlement.
If all notices are like this you are all going to be surprised at what it contains and what you have to do.
Dont know who reads these messages so can not say anything more about what I saw.
