I tend to agree that a header would definitely authenticate the posting.

Could be. Could even be a typo that someone made in some database. But, once again, taken along with the other apects which btw were conveniently ignored to focus on that alone, it makes it even more suspect.

All email has header information. Depending on your settings you may not see it, but it's there. The reason for asking for the header information isn't sinister. Look, I was just trying to help out. If you want some indication of whether it's real or not, then looking at the full headers probably will tell you that. No sense getting upset about something that's not even real and based on what we've seen so far I'd have to say not. It's probably just somebody messing with you guys. The header info also would allow you to compare the source with the others and possibly determine who that is.

If you let us know what email client you're using then somebody here probably can tell you how to view the full header information. If you don't want to provide it, then don't. It's just not very credible without.

Now for the next few days, there will be little activity. During this short (if you could define any time as being short in this exercise) period there will be a preparation administrative processing adjustment and implementation. Then there will be high visibility for all of us that the long awaited flood of notices is coming into our community.
This activity was anticipated to have been visible this Wednesday, but that was not the case.
Once this administrative processing change is done with, we will not have any further difficulty in understanding the order of the processing nor when it will reach down through the ranks to all. Once this starts for us all, it may take over a week to cover us all. It certainly will not take until the tail end of this month to complete.
As always, we are supported by a handful of highly astute people from diverse quarters who put huge amounts of effort to gather the information together.
In short, there have been a lot more groups involved in this whole exercise than we ever imagined and we are last. Once they start on us, as they will, it will happen rather quickly for us all.
