greg harris messed around with throwing with both hands as a middle reliever for the red sox in the mid to late 80's. he went as far as to have a special glove made with a thumb slot on each side. i am not sure if he ever actually pitched bothways in a game, but the baseball rule stated a pitcher must complete th at-bat using one pitching arm and may not switch mid-batter. but he may change once a new batter is up. it is the same way for batter vs pitcher.
