Question when should i sue my ex

i am being called by debt collectors non-stop about a debt me and my ex acquired during our short marriage. debt people are threatening me now with a summons and so i am left with this question. should i get a lawyer and sue my ex for what he was supposed to have paid now, or first pay off this debt which is his and then take him to court. i have already paid off my half of the debt over a year ago and all that is left is his and what interest has grown to be.

Default Re: when should i sue my ex

You can sue him now or later...he does owe it now.

But your damages will be clearer if you have paid and/or if it is on your credit report now.
