what does it take to enforce a verbal contract. I have 4 witness but only 2 have given me signed statement saying the were their when my cousin promissed to pay me $200 every two weeks until she paid off the loan. She also gave me a posts dated check for the loan down payment 3 months ago and it is still no good. How can i collect on the check. a friend told me that verbal contracts are inforcable but she has no idea how to do it, she just told me to go to the small claims court for help. Is that the right thing to do? Also are the signed statement any good? or am i just waisting my time.

Just go to small claims and have your witnesses appear with you. They can testify under oath and if the court believes them the agreement will be enforceable.
