Security deposit dispute with ex boyfriend-help!

He moved out shortly after we moved in together. We each paid 1/2 (675$ each ) towards the security deposit (1350$ total). When he moved out, he sent in a written letter to the property management company stating he wanted his half back upon my moving out. I shortly sent in a letter of agreement. I have no problem with that. Actually, even with no agreement in writing, that is how the property management company would of legally handled it. Now. 1 1/2 yrs later, hes demanding me to give him his money now, not wanting to wait until I move out and is threatening to take me to court. Does he have a case or am I safe? I have all copies of all the paperwork.

Where is his 675 now and is he still listed on the lease, or did you make a new lease?

the property management has the money, and he is off the lease, they just removed him from it. They say he will not get his money from them until I move, and that its between us to come to an agreement (which we did on paper)
