My grandmother had given me a car for my birthday (it was her 1995 Saturn as
she was getting a new car) - at that time I did not have my licence, so it was off the road sitting in my driveway. Around spring time of 06 a friend of mine (Jennifer Tipper) was having car problems, and at that time I was helping her out because she had a young baby at home. Her mother had Jennifer have my grandmother sign the title over to Brigette Maco (her mother) and once her car was fixed (which I said she could use it for a few months) she would then sign the car back over to me. Her reasoning behind this was for her insurance. She couldn\'t insure the car for Jennifer if the car was in my name (is what she said) - Now, at that time, I was 16 years old and didn\'t think that one of my best friends since Middle School would do me wrong. Her mother and my father had an agreement set up for a computer that her mother had put on her credit card, and my father was in then to pay it off monthly. That was an agreement between my father and her mother, which has nothing to do with me, in any way. Brigette said that I would not get my car back until my father paid her the rest of the money (and I have the audio of her saying that) - The problem is, Jennifer and her friends (as well as her mother) COMPLETLY trashed this car. Last time I saw it there was no window on the passenger side, the side panel above the front right wheel was completely gone, spills all over the rugs and seats, rips and burn holes everywhere. I would not be able to drive that car if I had to. I want to know what I can do.. Thank you so much!! Feel free to email me at nhisted@verizon[dot]com |

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
