I am in the middle of suing my roomates for unpaid bills. I paid 199.95 for the filling fee and the serving fee, (I had to use a process sever because of issues with her now refusing all mail, so it was more expensive). I'm assuming she got my complaint in the mail recently because I got a letter with a check from her for the full amount she owed with the bills. However, it does not include the filling or the serving fee. I want the money I paid to have those things done, and in South Carolina, according to the law, these too fees must be paid by the defendant if they lose the case. What should I do?
