Default friend borrowed money...now, she said it was a gift

I helped paying off my friend's credit card debts and now she said that that was a gift to her and not loan. I have the record of her credit card agencies, which took the funding from my personal account automatically. Can I file a claim and get the money back?

Yes file in small claims.

You obviously never said it was a gift.
