Default Online sportsbook refusing to pay $8000

Hi,

Me and a group of friends made some large bets at an online sportsbook (probably the largest online sportsbook), and won $8000. The sportsbook is claiming that we were operating as an 'syndicate group', rather than just a 'group of friends' in order to overstep the sportsbook's betting limits which is against their terms & conditions and decided to thus not pay winnings to anyone from the group, and simply refunded the deposits. We find this to be absurd as other similar sportsbooks offer limits which are 10 higher with similar odds. So, if we truly were a 'professional syndicate group' looking to bet over the limits why would we have not placed the bets at another site with simply higher limits? This the sportsbook did not respond to.

Many of us would like to file a claim against the company and would like to know if this sounds like a case which would be worthwhile to pursue? How would we go about to file a claim against the company? The company in question is operating in the North America and is licensed under the License by Morris Mohawk Gaming Group. We are from europe. The sportsbook in question has probably hundreds of thousands of customers from all over europe aswell.

Regards,

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
