Unhappy take over payments gone bad

My ex-husband recently signed a contract with me for me to take over payments of the car that he originally bought me and took back. I have not been in default at all so far and recently he got angry and tried to break in to my home. I had him arrested for this incident and now he has a laywer calling me and telling me I need to give him the car back and a laptop he gave my kids. What legal recourse do I have? I filed a temporary order of protection today, does that help me at all?

Default Re: take over payments gone bad

he needs to go to court if he wants to try to get those items back; and gifts if any he cannot get back.
