Due to a leak in the unit above us, our condo was infested with mold. The owner took responsibility and filed a claim with his insurance company. Now that the work is completed, his insurance company is in dispute with the mold abatement company about the cost of the repairs. If his insurance does not cover the full amount of the repairs, am I liable to pay the difference? I don't see why I should have to pay for anything when the work was not done by my choice or fault.

You are not liable if you did not sign and guarantee the bill.
