Default A/C & furnace sales installing scam?

I was told I was buying a Goodman system. After I demanded to get the owners manual after installation I found out it was actually a Distinctions Amana product. (I realize that Goodman owns Amana. I had to look it up online myself. It was not disclosed to me when the salesman presented his proposal.) But is it legal to put the Goodman lable on an Amana product?
Do I have a case?

Called a reputable heating and cooling comp. to my home to inspect my a/c unit. They sent a salesman who then spent 2 hours of my time telling me that I needed a new a/c and I also needed a larger more expensive unit for my sized home. If I upgrade my a/c then I have to upgrade my furnace. Very pushy and used scary senarios and made up consequences if I did not do as he said. I fell for it all and I am not a gullable person. When someone talks to you for 2 hours and interupts your line of thinking in order to understand what they are trying to tell you, you find yourself very confused and overwhelmed to the point of submission.

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office. You can argue they were purposely misleading or even fraudulent.
