ex-boyfriend grief

A couple of years ago, in 2004, I met this man, I was 18 and he was 26. We started dating and that went on for about a year. Between 2005 and 2006 I lent him some money during and after our relationship had ended. It amounts to a little over $2,000. He has moved away without notice and hasn't tried to contact me ever since I started asking for my money. I was going to just open up a case in small claims court to try and get my money back but he's been making it hard to serve him or even contact him. Through P.I.'s I found out he lives in Las Vegas now. I feel used and abused by this man. I was only 18, and him being so much older I feel like he took real advantage of me not only financially but emotionally and even sexually. I used to go to church and be a real Christian with all that it implies and under his influence I left all my belief and support system and was left with nothing. To me he is a con artist and I want to know if there's anything else that I can do to make him pay for all the grief he's given me. I know I was already 18 but who knows anything at 18?

Not really. If he promised to pay you back then sue in small claims.

Otherwise I would say forget it and move on.
