Default What to do next after the small claims judgement?

I was sued by an ex-tenant for $3500. The judgment was that I have to repay most of his security deposit ($237). Outside of court we agreed I would write him a check and he would provide a letter stating that he will not pursue the matter further. The check is ready, but he hasn't come by to get it, nor responded to an e-mail from me. How do I make sure legally that I have mailed him the check? Certified mail? Is that enough? I already wrote on the check that cashing it constituted agreeing that the matter was finished.

Not sure what to do next.

Thanks

I wish to inform you that if any particular mode is specified regarding mailing between you and other person then that mode will be followed. In the absence of any specific agreement you may send the check by certified mail. Further you can keep copy of check as well as certified mail receipt as evidence.
