Lost laptop
I left a laptop computer in case on shuttle service van. Called service to report the minute I noticed it was missing. They said they had it and would place in lost/found. Told to call back next day for pickup info. Next day, called back, said they had my computer, gave directions for me to pickup. Upon arrival at shuttle service, I told them I was there to pickup up computer and when they looked where it was supposed to have been it wasn't there. They called police to report it stolen but said they weren't responsible. They asked to have 24 hours to look. I returned 24 hours later and nothing.
What can I do? |

If they took possession of it and held it for you, and then lost it, you can try to sue them in small claims for the loss. Once they took possession they did have a duty to use reasonable care. It is part of their business.
