i had recently bought a vehicle in september and then in march of this year i sold it to someone who was gonna use it as a fixer upper. well when he tried to register it, the DMV told him that there was a lein on it from the previous owner(not me). now the owner before me is saying that i didnt pay her the full cost of the vehicle in september and will not let the lein go through. i nor the other party have any record of our sale because we delt in cash. do i have any recourse in having that party release the lein or am i going to have to buy the vehicle back from the new party just so they won't get in the middle of this? i am stuck without any clue what my next move should be? thank you for your help....

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against her (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to her behavior...
