Harrassment

I have taken out a Payday Loan with a company. This company requires you to write a check to secure the funds you are borrowing. I originally did not have the funds available on the week that they required payment, but I did have direct deposit and told them to deposit the check and the bank would clear it and my check would then cover it at the end of the week. I have told my representative at the company to do this for almost two weeks now. Today this representative shows up at my place of employment demanding payment. I feel like this is harassment equal to mob strong arming. Am I correct? Do they have all the right to come up to my workplace and demand this from me? Please let me know.
