Can i choose to lower the dollar amount of my claim?
-- he owed me 7000 dollars but use small clams and sue for 2500? and forget the rest. |

You can do that, but you cannot take any further action on that claim so the amount you sue for will be your final resolution.
Sometimes you can break the claims into parts if eg a payment was due on the 3 different dates you can sue just for payment one, then 2 then 3 etc. |
