Wedding pictures dispute

My husband and I got married in May 2005. We havn't made a decision about how we want the wedding pictures to be designed in an album until now. When we paid in advance, the photographer said there is no time limit and he keeps photos forever. He has never contacted us first even once in the past 4 years. On the recent contact with him this month(June 09), he said the offer and prices that were valid in 2005 are no longer valid, which we understand the price may raise over time. But then he only will give us 14 pictures instead 36 that we could have in the old plan, and said after July 1st he will no longer be able to do our album AT ALL. We find this offer is not reasonable nor acceptable. How can we negotiate in this situation? Do we have right to ask our money back (deduct the service fee) ?

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior...
