The reason I am saying this is because I am having a hard time deciphering your post.

If you received the keys on the 20th of the prior month, look at your lease. What is the date the lease begins? It should reference deposits and monthly rent including a prorated month from the 20th if it exists.

Let us know what the lease shows on dates and deposits…

The lease say that i was suppose to move in on the 1 of September 2007 but the landlord give me the keys for the apartment on the 20th.

I pay them completely 561 for one month rent and 561 for security dep
however i didn't pay for one current month so they sent me this rent paper saying

Base rent 561
base rent AR 1,122
Retro ar 217.16

i sent them the usual 561 for that month and the next moth 561 i subtract 217 and sent them a total of 905. to be honest i don't know what is RETRO AR but they never credit my account for the days i wasn't living in the apartment because i didn't have the keys but however i still pay 561

they want me to pay 1,122 and that's two months rent ?? should i pay for the 1,122 or should i take them to court ?? please helppppp
