Unhappy All My Sons Moving Company

Hi,

I was quoted via email a flat fee of $175.00 for moving 20 pieces of furniture from ground floor to 2nd floor. I sent moving company a list of furniture. Originally, they wanted $275.00; however, when I told them it was in the same building and there was not transporation involved, they came back with a $175 flate rate all inclusive. Several emails went back and forth. When moving day came, they called and said they would be at my home in a while and needed to take inventory. They looked at the furniture, left to call the office, and came back and said they couldn't move my furniture for $175.00. The Owner called me and said "they couldn't move me for this Price and they would charge me a Fee of $89.00 per hour. Then the man who was there said in order to do the job right, they needed at least three men, which would cost $129.00/hr. and that they couldn't get a man that day, but later on in the week. They scammed me I believe, just like most of these moving companies do. They quote you a low price knowing that they never intend to honor it. I told the owner that I would sue him and he said "are you threatening me." I told him there were several emails confirming this move at that price. My finance then spoke with him and said we would discussed it. We asked the two men and they were ready to leave and said they couldn't move us today, it would have to happen next week with three men. Meanwhile, we needed to get our furniture out of the apt so we could rent it. My finance had to take off work, and we needed to be moved because I had already overstayed my time here in IL. I live in New York. Anyway, I pay $230 for insurance, and of course, since this moving company reneged on their move, I lost not only the day of the move, but my insurance coverage, which was paid for for that day. I would need to give the insurance company at least two days notice, not the same day. Can I sue All my Sons Moving Company for reneging on the flat rate, on the scheduled day! They had weeks to send someone to my home to look at the list of furniture I sent them. They even sent me an email that said I could have as many men as I needed. I really want to sue them. Next week I will email All My Sons Moving Co. and inform them that I will report them to the BBB, attorney General's Office, and sue them in small claims court if they don't at least repay me the lost insurance Fee of $230. Of course. Can I sue All my Sons for anything else?
