Confused landlord vs tenant

My landlord is not returning my security deposit and now she said if i take her to court she will put it in with her bankruptcy. Is there any way a judge can order that it can not be put in bankruptcy?

Default Re: landlord vs tenant

Yes the judge can order that.

And since the funds were being held in trust for you, the judge may very well give that order.

Sue her in small claims now if she has not filed bankruptcy already.
